Levenson Over the last two months, AJC has led an extraordinary coalition of New England Jewish organizations united in their desire to express support for a "True Peace" between Israel and her neighbors. The New England Campaign for True Peace, which today has 51 participating organizations and reaches a network of over 40,000 people, is sending a clear message that efforts by Palestinian leaders to circumvent negotiations and seek endorsement of a Palestinian state at the UN will not lead to a lasting peace. In late August, as part of the Campaign for True Peace, AJC hosted an evening of questions and conversation with Ambassador Aaron Jacob, who previously served as Israel’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN and is currently AJC’s Associate Director of International Affairs.
